Hey, = something I have=20 been noticing with my new talents = ability's is my=20 Hammer of righteousness hits alot harder = then my=20 Crusader strike even on single target = fights, in=20 fact using crusader strike will often lead = me to=20 lose aggro on a boss.

my rotation = is as=20 follows =

HR-AS-HR-J-HR-SR-HR-HW=20

now if i replace HR with CS i lose = aggro=20 with that would someone like to explain to = me why=20 all the other paladins are using CS and = mine in=20 failing.

A: L2P = CS vs=20 HotR tuning is a moving target as Blizzard = randomly hot-fix stuff. Crusader = strike is based=20 on mel=C3=A9e damage. HotR is only = slightly based on=20 mel=C3=A9e damage. The damage range is = much higher with=20 a slower weapon.

Slow weapon speed = didn't=20 matter to paladins at all before. HotR was = based=20 on dps. Also, faster stacked = corruption/vengeance=20 faster. I feel like they should have = adjusted tank=20 weapons for this change.=20

As of now, = with current=20 gear, Hammer is on top. The only thing CS = has over=20 hammer is that it applies Censure. But if = you're=20 using a tank weapon that shouldn't be a = problem.=20

CS also=20 procs the Seal of Truth weapon damage = portion,=20 which HotR doesn't. A Slow Weapon will = also=20 increase the SoT Proc with your CS. =

Edit:=20 Oh and the T10 2PC and Glyph of HotR are = broken.=20 They only increase the physical portion of = the=20 ability and not the holy portion.

Use CS on single targets until they = fix the=20 damage multipliers that aren't applying to = the=20 nova portion of hotr (although I expect = that there=20 will be some further adjustments to the = numbers=20 since CS is intended to be significantly = better on=20 single targets). =

Increasing attack power (by using = BoM or=20 by taking damage and gaining Vengeance, it = doesn't=20 matter which) increases damage of AS and=20 Seal/Judgement of Truth, but not of HotR = and HW.=20

I expect HotR and HW scale only = with spell=20 power, which is granted from strength. = Vengeance=20 only grants attack power, which explains = why it=20 does not increase HotR or HW.

And = for this=20 whole post, I am only talking about the = holy part=20 of HotR. The physical part is obviously = affect by=20 attack power, but it is rather small in = comparison=20 to HotR's holy part.=20

I just tested on a = target=20 dummy. Let SoT stack 5 times, then reset = Recount,=20 do 5 CS, stop attacking, let Censure run = out. Same=20 for HotR.

HotR average damage = (combined=20 physical and holy portions): 1825
CS = average=20 damage: 1887

Seal hits while using = HotR:=20 same number as melee hits
Seal hits = while=20 using CS: melee hits + CS hits =

Note that=20 CS procs seals while HotR doesn't. =

I=20 accidentally let the CS test include 1 = extra melee=20 hit, which procced 1 extra seal hit, and = it also=20 had 1 extra Censure tick. The CS test = totaled=20 24827, while the HotR test totaled 21555. = If we=20 subtract the difference of 1 melee hit = (745), 1=20 seal hit (253), and 1 Censure tick (677) = from the=20 CS test, we get 23152, which is still = higher than=20 the HotR test.
